In this cross-generational project, students conducted oral-history interviews with parents and elders about their earliest childhood memories, producing interview transcripts and translating those narratives into visual form. Students transformed family stories into paintings about lived experience, memory, and identity, culminating in both a public-facing end-of-year exhibition presenting the artworks alongside excerpts from the interviews. The project integrated journalism, heritage preservation, and visual storytelling, positioning students as cultural documentarians while strengthening intergenerational dialogue and community ties.
